Our Staff

SunCare staff are a range of ages and come from all backgrounds and walks of life and each one has different and unique life experiences.

All staff have Criminal Records Bureau checks and are required to wear their SunCare uniform and identification badges at all times.

Run by Carole Barnes who is a qualified nurse supported by Sandy Collin, there is also another Registered General Nurse. All staff are either training towards or qualified in a minimum of level 2 at NVQ with some staff qualified to NVQ 3. Sharon Davies is our dedicated trainer and  we have a fully equipped training room to allow us to train staff to situations they are dealing with in clients own homes. Mandatory training includes:

Moving and Handling

Food hygiene

Infection control

First aid

They also have training in Dementia care and some staff are have achieved a level 3 certificate in Palliative care.
